Hey Everyone!
This week was bitter sweet. All of the elders that were heading to Puerto Rico and Barbatos headed out yesterday, so we had a single day of just the 6 of us chilling out here. Our companionship is now Assistant to the President until we head out to the field.
We had about 40 new elders and sister come yesterday, and 16 of them are Haitians that speak french, so now we have to conduct our meetings in english, spanish, and french, so that should be a lot of fun.
We got to go contact some people for about an hour last friday at a park in front of the oldest University in the Americas and that was an awesome expierience. We thought we were only going to be talking to a few people if we were lucky, so we only brought a few Book of Mormons (Books of mormon?) and 5 or so Restoration pamphlets. To our surprise, everyone we talked to was pretty interested in the church so we ended up giving away all of the stuff we brought. It shows that the Dominican Republic is ready to recieve the Gospel! Super excited to serve them in a few weeks!
I'll send some pics of our "gym" which consists of 2 bikes, a ping pong table and 3 Foosball tables. And Santo Domingo at night.
